Product Introduction
Silicon Barium Calcium is a composite ferroalloy and a new barium-based metallurgical material. Its composition consists primarily of silicon, barium, and calcium, with the remainder being iron and trace impurities (Al, C, P, S). Silicon-Barium-Calcium is produced through high-temperature smelting of quartz sand, barite, limestone, and coke.

Melting Point: 950–1150°C
Density: 4.2–5.2 g/cm³
Core Applications: Deoxidation and desulfurization in steelmaking, and inoculation in casting.



Main Applications
Steelmaking Process
Serves as a highly efficient, aluminum-free composite deoxidizer, replacing aluminum wire or calcium-silicon wire. Barium reduces the vapor pressure of calcium, significantly improving calcium's recovery rate and stability in molten steel, effectively removing oxygen, sulfur, and phosphorus impurities, preventing nodule formation in continuous casting nozzles, and improving molten steel fluidity and steel toughness.
Casting Process
Primarily used in the production ofductile ironandgray iron. It promotes graphitization, refines grain size, improves graphite morphology (such as spheroidization and roundness, as well as Type A graphite distribution), eliminates cementite, and enhances the mechanical properties and cross-sectional uniformity of castings.
Special Steel Smelting
Particularly suitable for low-sulfur, low-phosphorus steels and special alloy steels that require high purity. The silicon-barium-calcium mixture, which is aluminum-free, prevents Al₂O₃ inclusions and optimizes the steel's machinability and impact toughness.
