Product Description
Silicon carbide cored wire utilizes low-carbon steel strip formed into an outer shell, filled with high-purity silicon carbide powder. After coiling and compaction, it is manufactured into continuous cored wire. When fed into molten steel, the silicon carbide decomposes and reacts at high temperatures, with silicon and carbon gradually absorbed by the steel bath. Compared to direct addition of ferrosilicon or carbon additives, this process offers smoother reactions, lower burn-off rates, and easier composition control.
